Edinburgh Airport has a single terminal, and almost all of its restaurants, bars and shops are after security, in the departure lounge between the gates. Before security there is coffee, a 24-hour Sainsbury's and the basics. This page lists what is on each side, so you can decide where to eat and how much time to leave.
Checked against Edinburgh Airport's own listings in October 2026; outlets change, so check the airport's site for opening hours.

Before security
The landside choice is small, so if you want a meal, go through security first. The airport lists:
- Sainsbury's: downstairs before security, open 24 hours, for food, drinks and snacks for the flight.
- Caffè Nero and Pret a Manger: both on the first floor, before security.
- Costa: in the international and domestic arrivals area.
- WHSmith: in domestic arrivals, for papers, books, snacks and drinks.
- Travelex: on the first floor and in arrivals, for currency. Euros and US dollars ordered online can be collected in about four hours.
- Excess Baggage: in the check-in hall, across from the Jet2 desks, for left luggage, bag wrapping, shipping and travel accessories such as locks and luggage straps.
- Bloom Box: a 24-hour flower vending kiosk at the entrance to Domestic and International Arrivals 2, useful if you are meeting someone.
After security: restaurants and bars
The airport lists these sit-down options in the departure lounge, by gate:
- All Bar One (by gates 6 and 16): breakfasts, light lunches, sharing plates and cocktails, with a children's menu.
- Giraffe (by gate 6): an all-day menu from breakfasts and mezze to burgers and noodles, with children's and halal menus.
- Fever-Tree (between gates 7 and 9): a bar with an all-day food menu, Scottish spirits and airport-exclusive gins.
- The Sir Walter Scott (by gate 10): a Wetherspoon pub overlooking the airfield, with Scottish craft beers, a children's menu and ordering through the Wetherspoon app.
- Forth & Main (by gate 11): an American-style diner and bar serving breakfast, burgers and cocktails.
- ICONS (by gate 12): a sports bar and kitchen with 17 large screens. It takes table bookings, which helps with a large group or a big match.
- Seoul Bird (across from gate 12): Korean fried chicken with gochujang sauces, and Korean-style breakfasts.
After security: quicker food and coffee
- Pret a Manger: by gate 6 and by gate 12, for sandwiches, salads and coffee.
- Caffè Nero: at gate 7 and gate 25.
- Starbucks: across from gate 10.
- Burger King: near gate 11. An airport food guide updated in June 2026 said it was closed for refurbishment, so check before you rely on it.
Boots and WHSmith both sell meal deals and snacks if you would rather eat on the plane.
After security: shops
- Duty free: World Duty Free, for fragrance, beauty and drinks, with a World of Whiskies section of more than 300 whiskies.
- Scottish gifts and knitwear: Brora for Scottish cashmere and the Edinburgh Gift Emporium for Scottish food, beauty and gifts, both across from gate 7; Tartan Weaving Mill for cashmere, lambswool, kilts and souvenirs, and Heritage of Scotland for kilt accessories and clan items, both across from gate 11.
- Fashion and accessories: Accessorize, FatFace (between gates 9 and 10), JD Sports and Sunglass Hut.
- Beauty: Rituals, for body care, home fragrance and gifts.
- Essentials: Boots, which has a pharmacy; WHSmith, with branches in the departure lounge and at gates 2, 15 and 21; and the WHSmith Bookshop.
- Tech and money: InMotion for headphones, chargers and speakers, and Travelex for currency.
