London Luton Airport has one terminal and two lounges you can pay to use, both run by No1 Lounges and both airside after security: My Lounge and the No1 Lounge. They are open to passengers of any airline and any ticket class, and in each you can go in from three hours before your flight. The differences are in the food, the space for children and the closing time. If you are still deciding whether a lounge is worth it at all, our guide on whether an airport lounge is worth it covers that.

My Lounge

  • Where: after security and duty free, in the main departure hall, next to Accessorize.
  • Included: a self-service grazing menu of hot and cold food, and a staffed bar serving beer, wine, spirits and classic cocktails, with soft drinks and hot drinks. All drinks are included except champagne and sparkling wine. There is a bistro area, TVs, Wi-Fi, digital newspapers and magazines, charging points and flight screens.
  • Children: welcome, with a family room that has sofa seating and space for children to play, and a games area. Under-2s go free, and there is a lower child price.
  • Timing: open 4am to 9pm daily, with entry from three hours before your flight. You can buy extra time in advance if you want to arrive earlier.
  • Suits: families and anyone flying in the evening. Groups of more than eight need approval before booking, and stag and hen parties are not allowed.

No1 Lounge

  • Where: in the main terminal after security, next to Gate 17. Follow the signs for the No1 Lounge and Gate 17.
  • Included: freshly prepared seasonal hot dishes and snacks served buffet style, and a staffed bar with beer, wine, spirits and mixers. Hot drinks come from self-service counters. There are TVs, runway views, workspaces, Wi-Fi, digital newspapers and magazines, and charging points. Entry is capacity-controlled.
  • Children: children aged 2 and over are welcome but not specifically catered for, and staff may seat families in a dedicated family area. Under-2s go free.
  • Timing: open 4am to 8pm daily, closing an hour before My Lounge, with entry from three hours before your flight.
  • Suits: couples and business travellers who want a hot buffet, a workspace and a view of the runway. Online bookings are limited to four people; larger groups must contact the lounge first, and stag and hen parties are not allowed.

Both lounges share a dress code: no fancy dress or themed outfits, offensive slogans, sports shirts, beach flip-flops, vests, or clothing that exposes the midriff or upper thighs. Anyone refused entry for their clothing loses the right to a refund. Both accept Priority Pass and LoungeKey cards, but walk-in entry depends on space on the day, and the lounges are often in demand, so booking ahead is the safer choice.

Older advice may mention a Clubrooms lounge with table service at Luton. It is not among the lounges the airport lists today; the two above are the only ones.

Which one for you

  • Families with young children: My Lounge, for its family room and games area.
  • An evening flight: My Lounge, which stays open until 9pm.
  • Hot dishes and a runway view as adults: the No1 Lounge.
  • A flight from the gates near Gate 17: the No1 Lounge, which is right beside them.
