Birmingham Airport has one terminal and five lounges you can pay to use, all airside after security. They range from a standard Aspire lounge by Gate 1 to two new premium tiers that opened in summer 2026, plus the No1 Lounge and the adults-focused Clubrooms. Every lounge here limits your stay to the three hours before your scheduled departure, with extra time available to buy if there is space. If you are still deciding whether a lounge is worth it at all, our guide on whether an airport lounge is worth it covers that.
Aspire Lounge, South
- Where: next to Gate 1, at the start of the walkway to the boarding gates.
- Included: a self-service buffet. Before 11am that means a cooked breakfast, cereals, pastries, fruit and yoghurt; later in the day, hot dishes such as pasta, curries and soups, plus snacks. Wine, beer, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee are included, and champagne costs extra. There are runway views, a quiet zone, Wi-Fi and flight screens. It was refurbished and extended in 2026 and has around 135 seats.
- Children: welcome with an adult who has a booking.
- Timing: it opens from the early morning to the evening, with hours set by day on Aspire's own site.
- Suits: most holiday departures, and families who want breakfast and a seat away from the crowds.
Luxe by Aspire
- Where: in the commercial concourse. After security, turn left as you leave World Duty Free; it is on the right, about four minutes' walk from the gates.
- Included: a more substantial seasonal menu, prosecco on arrival, premium alcoholic drinks and coffee throughout your stay. It has its own washrooms, a quiet zone, runway views and charging points. It opened in June 2026 with about 104 seats.
- Children: welcome with an adult who has a booking.
- Timing: open 4am to 6pm.
- Suits: a quieter, more comfortable start than the standard lounge, for business travellers or couples, if your flight leaves before the early evening.
Suite by Aspire
- Where: beside Luxe by Aspire, reached the same way: turn left out of World Duty Free and it is on the right.
- Included: a restaurant-style service, with an à la carte menu and drinks brought to your seat, including premium alcoholic drinks. It has private work rooms, its own washrooms and runway views. It has about 52 seats.
- Children: not allowed. The airport notes an exception for children holding a business class ticket.
- Timing: open 4am to 6pm.
- Suits: adults who want a proper sit-down meal in the most exclusive of the Aspire tiers.
All three Aspire lounges share a smart-casual dress code: no football or rugby shirts, men's vest tops, baseball caps, fancy dress or onesies.
No1 Lounge
- Where: in the main departure lounge. After security and duty free, the entrance is straight ahead, between WHSmith and JD Sports.
- Included: freshly prepared hot and cold dishes served buffet style, and a staffed bar with English sparkling wine, craft beers and spirits. Champagne is extra. It has a mezzanine level, a sports lounge with TVs, a bistro area, runway views and Wi-Fi.
- Children: welcome. Under-2s go free, and under-12s must be with an adult.
- Timing: open 4am to 9pm, the latest of any lounge here, with entry up to three hours before your flight.
- Suits: families, groups and evening departures. Sports shirts, fancy dress, vests and beach flip-flops are not allowed.
Clubrooms
- Where: on the International Pier, after security.
- Included: everything is served at your table, from an à la carte menu with hot dishes and snacks, plus wine, beer, spirits, sparkling wine and cocktails. Champagne is extra. There are three rooms, a private members' club style of decor and runway views.
- Children: for passengers aged 12 and over only, so it does not suit families with young children.
- Timing: open 4am to 8.30pm.
- Suits: adults and older teenagers who want table service later in the day, after the Aspire premium lounges have closed. The dress code matches the No1 Lounge.
The Emirates Lounge is for eligible Emirates and Qantas passengers only and cannot be bought into.
