Bristol Airport has one terminal, and most of its food, drink and shopping is after security, in the departure lounge. Before security the choice is small: a couple of coffee shops, a Burger King, WHSmith and a 24-hour M&S Food in the Transport Interchange. After security there are three bars with food, a sit-down Italian restaurant, quicker counters for burritos, burgers and sandwiches, and a run of shops including World Duty Free and Boots. This page lists what is where, so you can decide whether to eat before or after you go through.
Checked against Bristol Airport's own listings in October 2026; outlets change, so check the airport's site for opening hours.

Before security
These are open to anyone, including people seeing you off or meeting you on the way back.
- M&S Food: in the Transport Interchange, where the buses stop, and open 24 hours. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, bakery, drinks and flowers, plus gifts and essentials to take home.
- Starbucks: a newer branch in the arrivals concourse, open 24 hours, with coffee, breakfast rolls, toasties and draught beer. It replaced the old Ritazza.
- Caffè Nero: on the first floor just before security search, with coffee, pastries, snacks and sandwiches. It opens from the first to the last check-in.
- Burger King: on the ground floor just inside the terminal, open 06:30 to 02:30. This is the only Burger King at the airport that serves breakfast.
- WHSmith: for newspapers, books, snacks and drinks, with a second branch after security.
World Duty Free also has an arrivals store, open 12:00 to midnight, for anything you reserve to collect when you land.
After security: bars and restaurants
The cafes, bars and restaurants in the departure lounge open from the first flight of the day to the last.
- Brigg & Stow Bar and Kitchen: breakfasts, burgers, pub classics, salads and sharers, with children's meals and a drinks list including local favourites.
- Cabin Bar: wine, craft beer and cocktails, with breakfast, sharing plates, mains and light bites made with locally sourced food.
- Alembic: a bar with Mediterranean small plates and sharing platters, local spirits and coffee, and breakfasts from shakshuka to bacon croissant rolls. The menu has vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
- Frankie & Benny's: the sit-down family restaurant, with pizza, pasta, burgers and breakfasts, a children's menu, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices.
After security: quicker food and coffee
- Tortilla: California-style burritos and tacos, with Mexican beers and frozen margaritas.
- Burger King: on the mezzanine floor, for burgers and fries. Breakfast is served only at the branch before security.
- Soul + Grain: a grab-and-go counter with breakfasts, salads, sandwiches, baguettes and cakes, using local suppliers such as Hobbs House bakery and Barbers cheddar.
- SOHO Coffee: coffee, breakfasts, lunches and cakes, with vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free options.
- Starbucks: on the ground floor of the departure lounge, with coffee, breakfast rolls, porridge, toasties and sandwiches.
If you have Priority Pass or LoungeKey, you can use it for credit at Brigg & Stow, the Cabin Bar and the departure lounge Starbucks; tell the server before you order. For lounges, see our Bristol Airport lounges page.
After security: shops
- World Duty Free: fragrance, make-up, skincare, sunglasses and drinks. Duty-free shopping is open to every passenger leaving the UK.
- Boots: sun cream, toiletries, medicines, travel health and baby milk.
- WHSmith and The Bookshop at WHSmith: magazines, snacks, drinks, travel accessories and a wider choice of books.
- InMotion: headphones, chargers, speakers and other electronics.
- JD Sports: trainers and sports fashion.
- Accessorize: jewellery, bags, beachwear and accessories.
- curi.o.city: gifts, toys, local food and drink, and souvenirs.
Every passenger, including on easyJet and Ryanair, can take one bag of airport shopping on board as well as their one bag of hand luggage.
Ordering ahead
- World Duty Free Reserve & Collect: order online up to 30 days before you fly and pay when you collect in the departure lounge store. Order at least 7 days ahead for brands not stocked in store.
- World Duty Free Collect on Arrival: reserve products to pick up in the arrivals store when you land, so you are not carrying them out and back.
- Boots Click & Collect: order on the Boots website at least 5 days before you fly and choose the Bristol Airport store after security.
What is changing
The departure lounge is being rebuilt and extended, and the airport says the number of shops and restaurants will almost double, with the work finished by January 2029. The first new restaurants announced are Bill's, Cosy Club and wagamama, due in summer 2027, and a Tap + Brew bar and kitchen in autumn 2027. Until then, expect some building work and the current line-up above.
