Belfast City Airport has one terminal and a compact departure lounge, so the choice is small but easy to get round. Almost everything is after security: two bar-restaurants, two coffee shops and four shops. Before security there is a Caffè Nero and a WHSmith. Most outlets airside open between 04:30 and 05:00 and stay open until the last flight is called.

Checked against Belfast City Airport's own listings in October 2026; outlets change, so check the airport's site for opening hours.

Before security

The main concourse, where you check in and where arrivals come out, has two outlets. Both close in the evening, so if you are meeting a late flight, bring a drink with you.

  • Caffè Nero: hot and cold coffee, paninis, wraps and sweet things. Open from 06:30 to 21:00.
  • WHSmith: books, magazines, newspapers, snacks, chargers and local gifts. Open from 06:30 to 18:15.

After security: food and drink

  • Samson's Kitchen & Bar: the airport's first table-service restaurant, opened in October 2024 and named after Belfast's Samson crane. The menu runs from small and large plates to a "Goliath" Ulster brunch and a club sandwich, with a breakfast menu and a children's menu. Its Goliath's Bar stocks spirits from Northern Irish distilleries. It opens earliest, from 04:30.
  • The Artisan: a bar and restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and small plates made with locally sourced produce, including a traditional Ulster fry. Open from 05:00.
  • Starbucks: hot and iced coffee, Frappuccinos, smoothies and tea, plus sandwiches, wraps and cakes. Open from 05:00.
  • Caffè Nero: a second branch in the departure lounge, open from 05:00.

The airport says its outlets cater for vegetarian and vegan diets and for allergies and intolerances; tell the staff what you need when you order.

After security: shops

  • World Duty Free: perfume and aftershave, wine and spirits, and gift sets, open from 04:30. You can pre-order online with Reserve & Collect; order at least two weeks before you travel to make sure your items are held.
  • Boots: opened in August 2026, with travel essentials, skincare, No7 and Boots Meal Deals. Open from 05:00.
  • WHSmith: a larger airside branch with books, snacks and travel essentials, including InMotion headphones and tech. Open from 05:00.
  • curi.o.city: locally made gifts and souvenirs, such as miniature models of the Samson and Goliath cranes and socks and mugs from Born & Bred. Open from 05:00.

Planning your time

Because nearly everything is after security, go straight through if you want to eat. For a sit-down meal, Samson's (table service) and The Artisan are the two choices; for something quick, Starbucks and the airside Caffè Nero. Boots and WHSmith cover anything you have forgotten.
