Aberdeen Airport has one terminal and a short list of places to eat and shop: one bar and a coffee stop before security, and two bar-restaurants, a coffee shop and a handful of shops after it. The airport is part-way through a refit it calls ABZ Reimagined, so some units are closed or trading from temporary space until 2027. This page lists what there is, before and after security, and what is changing.

Checked against Aberdeen International Airport's own listings in October 2026; outlets change, so check the airport's site for opening hours.

For drop-off, arrival times and parking, see our guide to flying from Aberdeen Airport.

Before security

  • The Granite City: a bar with food and a beer garden, along the main concourse. It is the only sit-down option before security, so it suits anyone seeing you off.
  • WHSmith Costa: a combined WHSmith and Costa Coffee, directly opposite the entrance to security, for coffee and last-minute travel essentials.
  • WHSmith main shop: being extended and refitted from 17 September to 14 December 2026. While the work goes on, a smaller temporary shop sells confectionery, newspapers and snacks, and the WHSmith bookshop stays open.
  • Cash machines: Travelex has ATMs both before and after security.

After security

Food and drink

  • The Distilling House: a bar and restaurant opposite Boots, serving pub food from all-day breakfasts to pizza, burgers and fish suppers, with craft beers, cocktails and its own house gin and whisky. The menu has gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.
  • Bocco: an Italian bar and restaurant specialising in pasta, sourdough pizza and spritz, with vegetarian and vegan dishes.
  • Costa Coffee: by the gates. The airport is replacing its airside coffee shop with a larger one, brand not yet named, due in early spring 2027. While that unit is closed, the airport says hot drinks are available at Bocco and The Distilling House.

Shops

  • World Duty Free: fragrance, beauty, spirits including Scotch whisky, and gifts. You can reserve online from 24 hours to 30 days before you fly and collect and pay in the shop, which the airport says saves 10%.
  • Boots: toiletries, medicines, make-up, sun cream and travel accessories, plus a meal deal if you want food for the flight.
  • WHSmith: an airside shop for food, drink, books and magazines.
  • InMotion: headphones, chargers, power banks and other travel electronics.
  • Discover Aberdeen: local gifts and souvenirs, including clothing, toys, food and drink.
  • Travelex: currency exchange. If you order euros, US dollars or a Travelex Money Card online, you can collect it at the airport four hours later; other currencies ordered by 3pm can be collected the next day.

The lounge

The Northern Lights Lounge is on the first floor after security, near gate 1. Compare it on our Aberdeen Airport lounges page.

Arrivals

There is a WHSmith in arrivals with groceries such as milk, tea bags, food and wine, which helps if you are coming home late.

What is changing

  • The airside WHSmith and InMotion shops are being combined into one larger shop, and restaurant seating is being expanded, with the work done in phases before summer 2027.
  • A new airside premium drinks bar is due in spring or summer 2027.
  • An airside casual dining unit is due to be refitted in summer or autumn 2027, with The Distilling House as the alternative while it is closed. The airside pub follows in winter 2027 to spring 2028, and the landside pub in summer or autumn 2028.

Because units close for refits at short notice, if you want a proper meal before an early flight, it is worth checking the airport's site the day before. Getting there is covered on our directions to Aberdeen Airport page, and to compare parking for your dates, see Aberdeen Airport parking.
